Remotti Wedding | Casa Marina: a Waldorf Astoria Resort | Key West, FL

It seems the modern bride wants to capture the ever romantic sunset ceremony for her wedding day. And why not? The background shimmers in magnificent colors, blending with the white sand. The music is a soft hum of waves petting the shore. A breathtaking, soul soothing ground on which to intertwine two lives. Add Key West to that mixture and you have Giovanni and Liz’s incredible wedding.

The Casa Marina sits behind the busy Duval street, tucked neatly next to the shoreline. It boasts deep wood tones and white walls and enough windows so you never loose sight of the blue water. Simple, understated (but in a good way) and glamour only a Waldorf could pull off.

Yes. Those are TOMS wedding shoes.

The handsome Giovanni as he dons his wedding day attire. Quiet, and oh so fond of his Liz, Gio, gracefully puts on his vest and jacket. His eyes escape the room and travel to the very spot that he will be meeting his bride shortly.

Meanwhile, in the bride’s chambers, utter chaos and beautification has fully commenced. Liz compliments Gio perfectly, as she brings such an amazing energy to every person and place she encounters.

Beautiful Bride.

Liz and Giovanni were open to a first look, as they would be seeing each other before the ceremony. We found a quiet area, towards the back of Casa Marina, and fell in love with the architecture. It served as the perfect backdrop to the beautiful and emotional moment of seeing your love for the first time.

There are simply no words for this image. The thoughts that must be running through his mind are to personal and beautiful to pen to paper.

He turns and wants nothing but for her to be in his arms.

As we promised, a perfect setting for the perfect beach wedding. Slight shade for the guests, and an affluence of beautiful stimuli…oh and a violinist. Can it get more perfect?

A tender moment between father and son, shortly before the ceremony begins.

The bride chose to have both her father and step-father walk her down the aisle. There were no attendants, no bridal party. Simple. Bride and Groom.

An emotional response as they gaze at each other once again, in the last moment they will be single. From hence forth they shall follow a religious ceremony to bind them as husband and wife.

Father of the Groom hands his son the wedding bands.

You may kiss the bride.

All the guests gather for champagne and chatter as soon as the ceremony ends. The signing of the marriage license and many congraulatory hugs and kisses are in order.

The creative session was spent along the shore. The neighboring resort held a gorgeous pier over the water’s edge. Liz simply had to have a few images taken there! Once we saw the amazing structure we of course agreed readily. We then trickled down to the sandy shore where there was a beautiful tree providing much needed shade.

The classic shot in front of the Casa Marina.

Mr. and Mrs. were welcomed into their reception with a standing crowd of close friends and family. There was only one dance that night, a sweet tune translating all the wonderful characteristics of Giovanni and Liz’s relationship. They smiled and laughed amongst each other, and the end of the music met with an unexpected dip. 🙂 The rest of the evening was one of pure enjoyment and celebration. The dance floor was never empty and the room was filled to the brim with smiles.

As Giovanni is quite the musician, he had to finish the night with his guitar in hand, his band playing with him, and his bride rocking beside him.

Of course, this did not stop us from stealing the couple for one last shot outside the Casa Marina. The darkness and the lights changed the look of the beautiful resort. We wanted to capture their last dance in this quiet, gorgeous place. Thank you Giovanni and Liz, we had a grand adventure with you both and cannot wait til the next one!
