Baby J’s Dramatic Debut.

If there was ever a quote to fit Baby J that would have to be the one. I believe Lux and myself experienced every emotion that little “J” was expressing that day. He was ever the sweetest little baby boy you could meet with bright blue eyes and plump baby lips; giggling and smiling at himself as he changed from his pajamas to his first outfit for the day: The Holiday Reds.

But, oh how his mood changed as he was stuck in a sleigh and asked to smile for two strange women. So precious and funny, he performed with the most unforgettable pouts and we delightfully forgave. The soothing sound of his mother’s voice accompanied by her gentle touch quickly calmed him and we were able to capture these festive holiday snapshots.

We heard Daddy adored these little shoes and how could he not? We were quickly enamored with how adorable these kicks were for “J” and how happily he showed them off. Quite the expressive baby, he loved to wiggle his fingers and twice he managed to slip off his Baby Gap footwear as he excitedly pumped his legs.

We were multi-tasking on this photo shoot, with holiday and baby pictures to squeeze in. After the fun, festive time was over Mom decided there was nothing cuter than some [diapered] naked baby shots. Boy did his blue eyes stand out on fresh baby skin amidst the sunlight seeping in from the blinds. As you can imagine, we were entranced by those blue eyes one too many times that morning.

And of course the keepsakes; Bunny is his absolute favorite sleeping companion. We were told that poor Bunny took one for the team a couple of nights as he was sopping wet from the comfort sucks of little Mr. J. We know and appreciate how important these details are in baby’s life. How these small wonders will slowly drift away, so we seized the moment to capture Bunny with his master before he had outgrown his favorite pal.

Those swirly tufts of silky-soft baby hair upon his head had a hidden whisper of auburn thrown without. Dark in some lighting, light in others this little doll has beautiful locks that will slowly change as he grows older.

Mother and child; what more can be said? It is such an ancient and honored relationship, revered in many cultures and religions around the world. This moment captures the essence of what motherly love truly represents from the soft touch of her hand to the loving caress of her cheek.

These were some of the last moments of the day. From the blue stripes on his shirt to his blue blanket, we were determined to capture the blue reflection in his inquisitive sapphire eyes.

It was an adventurous day with Little J, lots of emotions were captured and many more were felt. This little guy surely touched our hearts!
