It’s just you and he, he and you in this tiny bubble where no one can touch you or bring you down from this incredible high. Couples in love have this way of swooning the masses, making us smile at their great fortune and intriguing us with the wonderment of their secrets. But the greatest of all marvels is the beauty that occurs when two people intertwine and engage in adaptability of each other’s lives thereby strengthening their cohesion.
During our consultation Aubrey hinted that she and Chris shared very different passions, but it was one of these precise delights which brought them ever closer as a twosome; skating. When these two first met Chris ollied and kick flipped his way into her heart and since their high school dating days Aubrey has since been picking up the hobby.
This shared passion of theirs reminded me of one of the reasons why we choose someone to coexist with: to grow and expand. Being introspective led me to reflect on the tender, quiet moments I spend with the man that I love and I concluded that with him I have learned ever more about myself. So I ventured to spark inquiries during our shoot as I witnessed their love behind my camera, wanting to know what lead them to this special place in time.
Albeit, I did not have to be clued in as to why they were such a wonderful pair I could see the reasons why each was enamored. Aubrey is a talented artist with a charming, soft spoken demeanor [and quite the stunner] while Chris her counterpart is good-natured, humorous and carefree. It was no wonder they ended up together and despite my obvious presence they immediately sunk into that cozy, comfortable place of togetherness that is so common to two in love.
Often times after providing them general direction it felt as though I had simply turned the on switch and they greatly delivered. Interestingly, they needed nothing more but to steal glances at one another to feel at ease with me, a foreigner in their tiny bubble. It always amazes me how love has that magical way of relaxing us and taking us away from all distractions.
We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. // Sam Keen
As the afternoon sun peeked behind clouds and I moved about erratically to contend with the lighting, Aubrey and Chris continued to drift apart from me into their own little world. Unbeknownst to surrounding occurrences these two young lovers giggled and flirted, while I adoringly captured the intimate and unexpected.
