Hello Dear Collective. » intimate. bold. eclectic.

Beautiful Dreamer.

Gavin Lee entered the world on June 2, to the oh-so-excited and wonderful parents, Chris and Erica. As a routine was slowly being developed, it was up to the us to capture the unique characteristics of this newborn baby boy. We were welcomed to their home and were whisked into little Gavin’s world. As newborn’s spend most of their time sleeping it is this time that is so important to capture, besides there is nothing sweeter than an 8lb infant sleeping away in the most precious of positions.

Erica had crafted a cast of her upper body during her last trimester. She tied ribbon around the collar and had it hanging on the wall next to the momentos of Gavin’s birth. Of course we wanted to tuck her little boy back into the confines of her belly, snuggling him into the corners while he slept.

Items around Chris and Erica’s home served as wonderful platforms to showcase their baby Gavin. Nestled on a bright red plate he slept quietly while Jacqueline and I clicked away.

The theme in Gavin’s nursery is “Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed,” which fits in well with the rest of the decor in their home. As fitting with this theme we gathered all things safari and wrapped the little man into silk fabric. Everything used was found in Chris and Erica’s abode.

And finally, as most of Erica’s family is far away on the West coast, we wanted to ship this sleeping babe to his family. Using Gavin’s own suitcase, we dressed him in the most fitting of California outfits, accessorized him, and placed him in the cushioned confines of his traveling gear. With many oohs and awws, it was absolutely adorable to watch him fidget in his sleep.

Thank you Chris and Erica for allowing us to capture these intimate moments with you and your son. It is always such a pleasure to be around your family. Please make sure to visit the FaceBook page for even more photos!

What a gorgeous baby. My favorite is with the suitcases. He knows he’s the coolest baby around rockin’ those sunglasses. It’s so amazing to me how flexible they are. Good work ladies!ReplyCancel
